• Choose the right size: Measure the opening of the pot or planter. The diameter of the insert liner should be equal to or slightly larger than the inner dimension of the container. For tall planters, add filler material so that the liner can be positioned at the correct height.
• Insert the liner: Place the flexible plastic liner upright into the planter, pressing it firmly against the bottom and along the sides.
• Trim the edge: If the top edge of the liner protrudes above the planter, use scissors to neatly trim away the excess plastic.
• Add a drainage layer: Place a water level indicator at the bottom of the liner, then add a drainage layer to the base to ensure the root ball does not come into direct contact with standing water.
• Pot the plant: Remove the plant from its nursery pot, place it into the liner, and fill the remaining space with potting soil, a mineral substrate, or expanded clay pebbles (hydro-pellets), depending on the system you have chosen.
